Responsibilities

  • Drive high-impact projects and innovate solutions that improve customer experiences.
  • Lead backend and cross-functional projects against long-term goals and short-term roadmaps.
  • Lead large features from ideation through execution and launch.
  • Own team systems and components, ensuring short-term functionality and long-term health.
  • Participate in code and architecture reviews, manage call rotations, and improve engineering processes.
  • Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Mentor others through brown bags and tech talks and promote appropriate engineering practices.

Requirements

  • BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of software engineering or production infrastructure industry experience.
  • Experience designing, debugging, and operating fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience leading components or systems from design through launch.
  • Proficiency with Go and Python is a significant plus.
