Responsibilities
- Drive high-impact projects and develop solutions that improve customer experiences.
- Lead backend and cross-functional projects while delivering short- and long-term roadmaps.
- Lead large features from ideation through execution and launch.
- Own team systems and components, ensuring short-term functionality and long-term health.
- Participate in code and architecture reviews, manage call rotations, and improve engineering processes.
- Write well-tested, readable, maintainable code and share knowledge through talks, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering or production infrastructure industry experience.
- Experience designing, debugging, and operating fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Experience leading components or systems from design through launch.
- Proficiency with Go and Python is a preferred qualification.
