Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, performant, and secure backend services and microservices.
- Drive projects from ideation through implementation with minimal supervision in partnership with Product and Design teams.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency APIs, asynchronous messaging pipelines, and backend infrastructure for identity lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Product Development and QA teams to scope, test, and deploy backend services at scale.
- Improve engineering practices around testing, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Drive technical initiatives and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Experience working at companies operating at a similar scale.
- Expertise in Java and modern backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Experience designing, building, and operating scalable backend services and microservices in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with caching, stream processing, and resilient architectures.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including high-scale data modeling.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ and distributed caching solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across distributed teams.
- B.Tech. or B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of IAM protocols and standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM is preferred.
- Experience with threat modeling, security engineering, secure API design, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
