Responsibilities
- Build SwiftUI screens and reusable components from design specifications.
- Connect iOS user interfaces to backend services and manage application state with clear separation of business logic and views.
- Create adaptive, accessible layouts supporting different device sizes, orientations, Dark Mode, Dynamic Type, and VoiceOver.
- Apply MVVM and protocol-based dependency injection to create testable software.
- Write unit and UI tests, investigate QA and production issues, and maintain dependable software quality.
- Use modern Swift asynchronous programming, including async/await, @MainActor, and Combine.
- Create and review pull requests, respond to feedback, and contribute to stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI, including SwiftUI state and environment property wrappers.
- Understanding of Swift fundamentals, including optionals, protocols, closures, value and reference types, ARC, and error handling.
- Knowledge of structured concurrency, task cancellation, Combine, and concurrency safety.
- Familiarity with MVVM, protocol-based dependency injection, SwiftUI layouts, and accessibility practices.
- Familiarity with Xcode, its simulator, debugger, Instruments, SwiftUI previews, and Swift Package Manager.
- Understanding of Git workflows, feature branches, commits, rebasing or merging, conflict resolution, and code reviews.
- Knowledge of unit testing with XCTest or Swift Testing.
- Clear written and verbal communication and a collaborative, adaptable, quality-focused approach.
- Nice-to-have knowledge of SwiftData or Core Data, iOS CI/CD with Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, or GitHub Actions, and accessibility, localization, or regulated healthcare environments.
