Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy cloud security capabilities protecting cloud-based systems, networks, and information assets.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert across cloud security services and technologies.
- Provide guidance on cloud security architectures, shared responsibility models, and cloud provider security capabilities.
- Partner with global cloud engineering, infrastructure, and cyber security teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Enhance security controls and capabilities across Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS platforms.
- Support operational cloud security services and ensure they remain effective, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with Security Operations and Incident Response teams on investigations, threat detection, and remediation.
- Develop solution designs, implementation guides, standards, and operational procedures.
- Automate security processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to cloud security roadmaps and strategic initiatives strengthening Leidos’ global cyber security posture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in cyber security, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience implementing, supporting, and monitoring enterprise cloud security technologies across Azure, AWS, or other major cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security services, cloud-native security controls, and shared responsibility models.
- Experience with identity and access management technologies including Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and Okta.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and secure network design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Australian citizenship and a minimum Baseline security clearance, with the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.
- Advantageous qualifications include experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID governance, Conditional Access, MFA, CASB, cloud governance, logging, monitoring, enterprise-scale cloud security architecture, Infrastructure as Code, scripting, automation, and multi-cloud environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Architect, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or CISSP are highly regarded.
