Base Salary

$125k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, debug, unit test, integrate, and release production embedded firmware for connected consumer and home-appliance products.
  • Develop wireless connectivity, device provisioning and pairing, OTA update, and differentiated connected-experience features.
  • Implement reusable Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter reference architectures and connectivity components.
  • Build BLE GATT profiles, Wi-Fi onboarding, cloud device registration, app/cloud integration components, and prototypes for new connectivity technologies.
  • Participate in design reviews, assess and integrate partner-delivered connected firmware, and maintain SharkNinja standards.
  • Maintain CI pipelines, static-analysis configuration, unit-test coverage, interoperability test harnesses, and reproducible build infrastructure.
  • Bring up firmware on target hardware, debug hardware-software-app integration issues, and support Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance, and Matter certification activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of embedded software and firmware development experience, including meaningful depth in wireless connectivity or connected-device features.
  • Experience delivering and shipping production connected firmware in commercial products.
  • Experience implementing connectivity stacks, provisioning flows, or app/cloud integrations from documented architecture and interface contracts.
  • Strong embedded C and C++ experience on resource-constrained platforms.
  • Expertise with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, BLE GATT, Wi-Fi onboarding, cloud device registration and authentication, and RTOS.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows, embedded CI builds, gcc, CMake, unit testing, static analysis, and debugging on target hardware.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, and trace; knowledge of OTA mechanisms and connected-product device security fundamentals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred qualifications include consumer electronics, IoT, smart-home, or other high-volume connected-product experience; embedded CI/CD, automated testing, or build infrastructure experience; partner-code review or integration experience; and display or embedded graphics/UI experience.
