Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable software, APIs, tooling, and lifecycle workflows for large-scale physical compute infrastructure.
- Automate compute lifecycles from firmware and OS provisioning through application-level stack deployment.
- Manage OS, firmware, network policy, and configuration changes across production fleets while enabling recovery, failover, and restoration for stateful workloads.
- Build rapid-response CVE patching and proactive security-hardening automation.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term infrastructure stability.
- Collaborate with platform teams operating Hadoop, databases, search, AI services, and other stateful distributed systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or a comparable programming language.
- BA/BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building and maintaining production observability with technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Strong hands-on Linux systems expertise, including troubleshooting processes, storage, networking, logs, kernel messages, and systemd services on Ubuntu or similar distributions.
- Experience building infrastructure automation with Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in large-scale production environments.
- Preferred experience includes physical-server fleet management, immutable or image-based operating systems, GPU/HPC infrastructure, InfiniBand, stateful distributed systems, Kubernetes-based services, advanced Linux networking, BGP, eBPF, workload identity, node and workload attestation, and SPIFFE/SPIRE or similar technologies.

- Annual base salary range of $160,000-$240,000 USD, plus benefits and bonus.
