Responsibilities
- Design and build AI tooling and agents that monitor, forecast, and automatically resolve AWS cloud cost issues, including AI and GPU inference spend.
- Integrate cost guardrails into development and deployment workflows so cost overruns are detected at commit, build, and deployment time.
- Build anomaly detection, root-cause attribution, budget enforcement, right-sizing, and policy-check automation.
- Instrument workloads at account and API levels, model token and inference economics, and develop reusable enterprise tooling.
- Extend cost attribution and reporting so spending maps to teams and business outcomes and appears in executive dashboards.
- Embed cost tooling across engineering organizations and codebases to improve delivery velocity.
- Collaborate with FinOps and platform teams on centralized controls, policies, budget gateways, and account guardrails.
- Lead the technical workstream by shaping the roadmap, sequencing work, coordinating cross-team delivery, and aligning stakeholders and executives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems, internal tooling, or platforms.
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern tooling and automation language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Deep hands-on AWS experience, including Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Report, Budgets, IAM, Lambda, and tagging strategy.
- Experience building automation and data pipelines and integrating tooling into software development and deployment workflows.
- Practical experience integrating or building with LLMs or AI agents and understanding token and inference cost drivers.
- Strong technical project management skills, including scoping, sequencing, cross-team execution, and communication with engineers and executives.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: enterprise software architecture experience.
- Preferred: experience optimizing AI and GPU inference costs, including model-tier selection, prompting, caching, and budget enforcement.
- Preferred: experience with agentic frameworks and multi-agent pipelines with human review gates.
- Preferred: experience with AWS Bedrock, Service Control Policies, and centralized budget or gateway enforcement at scale.
- Preferred: infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and container platforms including ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience operating in a large multi-account, multi-team enterprise AWS environment.
- Ability to work from an Infor Hub in Dallas, Texas, or Atlanta, Georgia, with daily overlap from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST.
