Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality native Android UI features, including dynamic effects, shader creation, custom rendering systems, and low-level API integrations.
- Build and enhance shared Android platform components, including media encoding, decoding and playback, performance tracing libraries, internal tooling, navigation, and deeplinks.
- Contribute to product and engineering roadmap creation, ideation, and tradeoff decisions with the founding team.
- Monitor analytics, manage system crashes, proactively address issues, and triage bug fixes within the owned scope.
- Share knowledge, stay current with Android practices, and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
- Strong understanding of computer systems fundamentals, including program execution, linking, multithreading, memory management, processes, and file systems.
- Experience building consumer-facing products and Android applications.
- Experience building SDKs or libraries for use by other engineers.
- Professional experience with C or C++ is a significant advantage.
- French language skills are not required, and perfect English is not required.
