Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
  • Write, review, debug, and maintain high-quality production code.
  • Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
  • Establish validation standards covering secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security of AI-assisted outputs.
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
  • Lead evaluations of external vendors, startups, and internal teams, including architectural designs and technical applicability.
  • Coach engineers on safe, compliant, and responsible use of AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
  • At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and technologies including Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, Cassandra, AWS, and AI.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and practical cloud-native experience.
  • Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile development practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
