Responsibilities
- Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data platforms, and ML-enabled solutions.
- Deploy, integrate, and monitor ML models in batch and real-time production environments.
- Lead data and engineering projects end to end, from requirements gathering through delivery and iteration.
- Translate business needs into data products and technical solutions aligned with Nubank’s architecture and strategy.
- Contribute to the design, documentation, maintenance, and optimization of data codebases, platforms, and tooling.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define strategies and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Share knowledge, mentor peers, and support engineering and data literacy initiatives.
Requirements
- Programming experience in one or more general-purpose languages such as Python, Clojure, Scala, or Java.
- Familiarity with analytical data environments and data engineering concepts, including pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and storage.
- Understanding of the ML model lifecycle, including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous architectures.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
- Passion for building high-quality software and data products.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Preferred: knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart architecture patterns.
- Preferred: familiarity with ML frameworks and feature engineering pipelines.
- Preferred: experience with Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of software engineering best practices including testing, clean code, and documentation.
