Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, SAS, and VSAM.
  • Participate in mainframe DevOps initiatives involving GitLab, automated testing, and source-control practices.
  • Administer IBM Content Manager OnDemand environments across development, testing, and production.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability, and perform upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
  • Manage CMOD object servers, library servers, cache storage, archival processes, migrations, and document retrieval.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and service requests, including on-call support rotations.
  • Support CMOD integrations with upstream and downstream applications and its DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server databases.
  • Support audit, compliance, regulatory, data-retention, disaster-recovery, and business-continuity requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting mainframe applications.
  • Proficiency with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SAS, and batch processing.
  • Knowledge of IBM CMOD architecture, Object Server and Library Server administration, indexing, document retrieval, migration, and upgrade procedures.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and SQL relational databases, including DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with GitLab, source-control tools, mainframe DevOps practices, and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of REXX and Assembler is requested, while Control-M, AFP coding, and other mainframe utilities are desirable or advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills, plus financial-services industry experience.
