Base Salary

$142k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable applications for margin calculation services and reporting.
  • Translate complex business requirements into well-architected technical solutions in partnership with project managers, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Resolve high-impact problems by analyzing complex business processes, system architectures, and root causes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in application programming and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Improve system performance through techniques including parallel processing and multithreading.
  • Lead system enhancements, product deployments, and process improvements.
  • Advise users, clients, and technology groups on programming solutions and system issues.
  • Mentor and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work to support project success.
  • Assess and manage technical risks while maintaining regulatory compliance and reporting control issues.
  • Work independently to own critical initiatives through successful completion.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
  • Strong proficiency in Java application technologies, including Java core, collections, concurrency, and streams.
  • Deep experience with Spring, including Spring Core, Batch, Integration, MVC, Boot, and Data.
  • Experience with Hibernate, Jackson, JAX-RS, JPA, JAXB, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and application integration.
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Experience with TDD, JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, performance optimization, multithreading, locking, and synchronization.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, SQL, Linux environments, and job scheduling.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS and Kafka.
  • Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management techniques and agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, adaptability, and deadline-management skills.
  • Prior financial services experience or interest is desirable.
  • Experience with Apache GemFire is a plus.
