Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee security incident response operations.
  • Build and deploy threat detection and incident response capabilities with Amazonians, partners, and customers.
  • Design, build, and deploy AWS solutions that automate security operations and incident response.
  • Develop automation tools, reference architectures, and white papers.
  • Contribute to internal builder projects and collaborate with AWS service teams on new capabilities.
  • Mentor consultants, partners, and customers and provide trusted technical guidance before, during, and after security events.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • Experience with scripting, programming, or security code review in Python, Java, C++, or another common language.
  • Non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks with command-line tools.
  • Knowledge of HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP networking protocols.
  • Non-internship experience identifying industry security vulnerabilities, attack patterns, and remediation techniques.
  • Experience in security operations, risk management, and incident response.
  • Fluency building with AI tools.
  • Citizenship in a European Union country.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS products and services; threat modeling or penetration testing; customer-facing technical work; programming or scripting with Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby, or PHP; and technical communication skills.
