Base Salary
$293k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems powering AI-native financial workflows across ChatGPT Work and Codex.
- Build infrastructure to ingest, index, retrieve, and serve financial data, company filings, market information, and firm-specific knowledge at scale.
- Develop secure integrations with financial data providers, enterprise knowledge systems, and customer environments, including authentication, authorization, and entitlements.
- Build systems that enable models and agents to use appropriate tools and data, preserve source provenance, and produce accurate, verifiable outputs.
- Improve the reliability, latency, observability, and quality of production systems and develop evaluations for real financial workflows.
- Work directly with financial institutions to understand needs, unblock deployments, and convert feedback into product improvements.
- Collaborate with product, design, research, security, and engineering teams to move capabilities from prototype to scaled production.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend systems.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Strong foundations in APIs, data systems, and distributed systems.
- Experience with data-intensive applications, search or retrieval systems, infrastructure platforms, or complex integrations.
- Ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into practical, well-engineered solutions and work across the stack and organizational boundaries.
- Strong focus on reliability, security, privacy, and performance in enterprise or high-trust environments.
- Interest in applying AI and model capabilities to complex professional work; direct AI/ML or financial services experience is helpful but not required.
- Founder, early-startup engineering, or new-product development experience is a plus.
