Base Salary
$140k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop automation frameworks and testing strategies covering backend systems through user-facing features.
- Evaluate and integrate development, code quality, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Improve build, release, testing, and CI/CD systems.
- Use the OpenAI API to create deterministic and non-deterministic testing approaches.
- Build reusable automated tests and tools and promote engineering best practices.
- Coordinate testing strategies with System Software, Automation, and Test teams.
- Diagnose complex testing issues using system logs and backend process knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in automation engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows.
- Strong proficiency developing test automation tools.
- Deep understanding of observability and telemetry and good understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
- Preferred experience designing scalable build, release, and test systems.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Preferred experience with Pytest, Splunk, consumer electronics, and machine learning models in product environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional relationship management skills.
