Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for building, testing, and operating K2's vehicles and customer payloads.
- Collaborate with Mission Operators and Engineers to identify and scope software solutions.
- Facilitate software design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
- Work across the technology stack to support development, testing, and operations milestones.
- Support internal and external customers in an on-call capacity during ground tests and spacecraft operations.
- Mentor other engineers to foster a strong team culture and software engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related STEM field, or 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience building software solutions in a professional environment.
- Experience with Rust or another statically-typed backend programming language.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend development tools.
- Familiarity with version control, continuous integration, and deployment processes.
- Experience developing HTTP or gRPC APIs and working with SQL databases.
