Base Salary
$152k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create clear interfaces and domain-specific APIs in cooperation with subject-matter experts.
- Design maintainable API endpoints and intuitive software library interfaces.
- Collaborate with Applications, Developer Tools, Infrastructure, Product, and Field Engineering teams on internal tools, rich data APIs, integrations, and visualizations.
- Build applications that communicate quantum-computing value and solve real business problems.
- Mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
- At least 8 years of full-stack development experience, preferably with JavaScript, Python, or Golang backends.
- At least 8 years of experience with REST, GraphQL, or gRPC frameworks for robust data delivery.
- Previous work in scientific computing, quantum computing, or technical consulting.
- Experience building or supporting rich user interfaces with data visualization tools such as three.js, D3, or WebGL.
- Track record of shipping applications that solve real business problems.
- Familiarity with agentic AI coding tools and techniques, including skills, docstring generation, code review, and AI coding best practices.
- Preferred: 10+ years of full-stack development experience, 5+ years of frontend experience with Three.js, D3, or WebGL, quantum computing or quantum algorithms experience, a quantum physics degree, scientific computing with NumPy or pandas, C or C++, and containerized cloud deployments using services such as AWS or GCP.
