Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software that automates and supports infrastructure operations and seamless deployments.
- Evaluate and implement solutions that meet business needs and assess their outcomes.
- Define and enforce operations, development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps standards to limit downtime.
- Perform regular maintenance and monitoring of cloud infrastructure systems and services.
- Monitor application performance and service-level indicators to ensure objectives are met.
- Respond to and initiate incident responses for high-severity site reliability issues.
- Implement and enforce infrastructure and application security controls.
- Research best practices and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and train Site Reliability Engineers on technologies and best practices.
- Monitor and steward infrastructure and development-related costs.
- Evaluate solutions with product vendors and negotiate contract agreements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 7 years of related work experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
- Professional certifications in cloud engineering programs preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, and leadership skills are required.
