Senior Software Engineer - Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM)

Responsibilities
- Drive the ISPM technical roadmap by translating product requirements into system designs, implementation phases, and build-versus-extend decisions.
- Architect, design, build, and scale identity security posture management systems.
- Develop high-performance Go backend services, including event-driven systems, REST/gRPC APIs, cron jobs, and integration layers.
- Build and maintain React/TypeScript interfaces for policy dashboards, identity visualization, and mitigation workflows.
- Design and optimize database schemas for large-scale, multi-tenant identity workloads.
- Implement Kafka-based event-driven architectures for asynchronous workflows and continuous identity posture evaluation.
- Maintain service reliability and health through runbooks, feature flags, monitoring, on-call participation, incident response, and SLO management.
- Author and review technical designs, facilitate architecture discussions, and uphold engineering standards for testing, code quality, API design, and observability.
- Mentor and guide a distributed team of 3–4 engineers across India and Singapore.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and engineering leadership on strategy, prioritization, quarterly results, milestones, and client interactions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a tech lead or senior technical leadership role.
- Proven experience mentoring engineers and raising team-wide technical standards.
- Strong system architecture experience designing and operating scalable, multi-tenant, event-driven distributed systems.
- Deep hands-on experience with Kafka or comparable high-throughput event-streaming technologies.
- Extensive production experience with Go, including idiomatic services, clean design patterns, testing, and error handling.
- Production-level React and TypeScript experience owning user-facing features end-to-end.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL proficiency, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for multi-tenant workloads.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs, presenting architecture, and writing design documents.
- Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity and make decisions with incomplete data.
- Experience in identity security, IAM, security posture management, or cybersecurity products is preferred.
- Experience with gRPC/Protobuf API design is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and tools is preferred.
