Base Salary
$220k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and execute technology vision and architecture strategy across S&P DJI’s full technology stack.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, including agentic AI, and guide strategic technology investments.
- Establish measurable outcomes and evaluation frameworks for new technical capabilities.
- Partner with Product, Platform, Quality Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams.
- Build engineering capability through reusable patterns, standards, coaching, and hands-on technical partnership.
- Influence architecture decisions and organizational technology adoption without formal authority.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on senior software engineering experience with a track record of driving adoption of forward-looking technologies.
- Production experience with agentic AI systems, including LLM-based agents, orchestration frameworks, tool integration, and evaluation methodologies.
- Strong foundations in software and systems engineering, architecture design, quality engineering, platform development, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience setting technical direction, influencing architecture decisions, and driving organizational change as a senior technical individual contributor.
- Executive-level communication skills for engaging CTOs, risk committees, and senior engineering teams.
- Strong technical judgment in evaluating new technologies, assessing risk, and making recommendations.
- Preferred: experience in financial services, market data, index administration, or other regulated and high-accuracy domains.
- Preferred: experience with data quality and validation at scale, AI risk frameworks, model risk management, or technology governance.
- Preferred: evidence of multiple major technology shifts, open-source contributions, technical publications, or a recognized public technical presence.
