Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and deliver secure, high-quality production software.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers while promoting secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery tools.
- Define team expectations for human validation, secure input and output handling, responsible AI use, and consistent automation practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architectural designs, technical credentials, and integration applicability.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 12+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of Java, Spring Boot, React JS, or AI/ML.
- Experience leading AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, security, governance, and compliant adoption.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of application resiliency and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- AI, Java, or React certification is preferred.
