Base Salary
$150k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable systems and APIs supporting agentic workflows from case activation through resolution.
- Develop prompt orchestration, agent frameworks, and model evaluation loops.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and domain experts to convert complex healthcare processes into reliable automations.
- Architect systems for scale and reliability with transparent, seamless human-escalation pathways.
- Create and optimize AI pipelines for identifying, categorizing, and resolving medical billing and insurance claim errors.
- Build automated agents and backend services for complex case flows with minimal human intervention.
- Integrate healthcare domain knowledge into models and decision engines to improve accuracy.
- Develop tooling and infrastructure to measure and improve AI performance in real-world scenarios.
- Shape the pod's technical strategy and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 9+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally building production systems at scale.
- Strong curiosity about AI, including prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and model evaluation.
- Ability to design pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Clear communication and effective cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a high-autonomy, fast-moving environment.
- Healthcare data, product engineering, ML systems, or web crawling experience is a bonus.
