Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support complex software solutions and APIs.
- Build MuleSoft integrations using Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, REST/SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, connectors, flows, and error-handling strategies.
- Write and run unit tests and support integration and functional testing.
- Analyze complex technical problems, provide technical consultation, and recommend innovative solutions and best practices.
- Participate in Agile planning, user-story refinement, acceptance-criteria implementation, warranty support, and production knowledge transfer.
- Automate manual and reusable tasks and deliver high-quality working software.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and serve as the team’s technical expert without management responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and four to six years of experience, or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience.
- In-depth information-systems knowledge and the ability to apply IT best practices.
- Ability to design, develop, and test complex APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, REST/SOAP API methodology, OAuth, JWT, MTLS, and GitLab CI/CD.
- At least four years of experience across the software development life cycle is preferred.
- At least three years of Mule ESB implementation experience with Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform is preferred.
- Experience with Anypoint Platform components, Mule flows and transformations, connectors, testing frameworks, build and deployment technologies, continuous integration tools, MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB, Oracle, and DB2 is preferred.
- Experience with banking or financial services, Waterfall and Agile development methodologies, SOA, and service architectures is preferred.
- Experience integrating MuleSoft APIs with generative AI/LLM platforms and understanding of MCP, agentic AI, and AI-driven API consumption patterns is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical issues, solutions, and status clearly and professionally.
