Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for corporate card issuance and management, including roles and user permissions.
- Integrate core banking providers, AML systems, and SWIFT to support SEPA, SWIFT, and card payout flows.
- Analyze third-party documentation and create integration and architecture plans.
- Participate in product decisions across the lifecycle from RFC and PRD through production.
- Improve system performance, scalability, and observability using Kafka, tRPC/Connect RPC, Loki, and VictoriaMetrics.
- Write unit and functional tests, follow security best practices, and contribute to automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with design, finance, and platform teams to deliver an end-to-end user experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of backend development experience; Node.js and TypeScript are preferred, while other backend languages are considered.
- Strong command of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience writing unit and functional tests using Jest, Cypress, Vitest, or similar tools.
- Experience building or integrating complex systems.
- Ability to own features from initial development through production and communicate and defend technical decisions.
- Preferred experience with event-driven systems, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
- Preferred familiarity with fintech, crypto, or payment system integrations.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Terraform.
- Preferred knowledge of API security and vulnerability patterns.
