Responsibilities
- Design and implement software components for the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, including web service consumption, data processing and analysis, core rendering, and 3D mapping.
- Drive public API design for new features.
- Apply and promote software engineering practices such as test automation, modularization, and simplification.
- Evolve and maintain the build process, test automation infrastructure, and custom tooling.
Requirements
- Practical software development experience, particularly in computer graphics, image processing, computer vision, or related fields.
- At least one year of JavaScript and TypeScript experience.
- Background with HTML, CSS, Angular, or React.
- Knowledge of JavaScript build and package management tools such as webpack and Vite.
- Experience in software design and architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include computer graphics, real-time rendering, WebGL, WebGPU, real-time 3D application performance optimization, and GitHub Actions or other test and CI tools.
- A master’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
