Base Salary
$148k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze and diagnose system faults and errors affecting perception, planning, and other autonomous-driving software.
- Triage, categorize, and prioritize issues based on severity, urgency, safety, and performance impact.
- Identify system-failure trends and recommend preventative measures to improve safety and robustness.
- Produce clear reports covering system issues, troubleshooting steps, and root-cause analysis.
- Develop tools and workflows to improve the quality and volume of system triage.
- Collaborate with engineering, software, testing, and other cross-functional teams while managing changing priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field.
- At least five years of experience in systems troubleshooting and diagnostics, preferably in automotive or embedded systems.
- Experience using Python or a similar language for automation, programming, and scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root-cause analysis.
- Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and safety.
- Experience in autonomous-driving quality assurance or triage is a bonus qualification.
- Project management experience involving cross-functional partners and offshore teams is a bonus qualification.
- Experience with data analytics, dashboards, and queries using SQL, Python, and/or Databricks is a bonus qualification.
