Responsibilities

Own backend solutions from understanding business problems and shaping requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
Design and evolve services for performance, scale, resilience, high availability, and data integrity.
Make technical decisions by evaluating constraints, alternatives, and trade-offs.
Maintain code and systems as products and requirements evolve.
Diagnose difficult production problems, address root causes, and prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to develop durable solutions.
Review work, share knowledge, and raise engineering standards across the team.

Proven ownership of backend services built and operated within a microservices architecture.
Strong understanding of HTTP, WebSockets, and AMQP communication protocols and when to use them.
Production fluency in at least one modern backend framework.
Deep knowledge of relational databases, including indexing, transactions, isolation levels, locking mechanisms, and high-performance design.
Experience designing systems for high availability, scalability, and resilience.
Clear, structured problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
Strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, and confidence learning unfamiliar technologies.
