Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex features or systems with measurable impact.
- Own system architecture and make informed technical decisions that balance scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Drive execution across multiple sprints, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to influence scope, requirements, and user outcomes.
- Identify technical risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Establish and promote best practices in code quality, testing, observability, and system reliability.
- Mentor and guide engineers through technical challenges, design discussions, and career growth.
- Lead and facilitate technical discussions, contributing to alignment across the team.
- Improve team processes, tooling, and development practices to increase effectiveness.
Requirements
- Experience designing and delivering production systems in a professional or comparable environment.
- Strong proficiency with the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), experience with Kotlin or Spring a bonus.
- Experience owning system design and contributing to architectural decisions, with a strong understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability principles.
- Proven ability to lead technical execution of projects from concept to delivery.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound technical decisions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver user-focused outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and trade-offs.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team development practices.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
