Base Salary
$75k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate system requirements, propose solutions, and explore design trades.
- Design GN&C algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
- Develop embedded software from prototype algorithms using real-time software development tools.
- Analyze designs and execute software tests to demonstrate performance, functionality, and compliance with requirements.
- Investigate problem causes and develop solutions for inefficient or problematic designs.
- Derive task-level or component-level requirements from system requirements.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, presentations, and other documentation.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Track priorities, scope, schedule, and cost and participate in team meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
- Three to five years of GN&C algorithm/software engineering or related experience is required.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or related tools.
- Foundational knowledge of autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control technology.
- Strong background in control systems theory and/or state estimation using filtering techniques.
- Knowledge of real-time software development, project execution, and validating real-time algorithms and software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Master's or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- Applicants may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
