Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ServiceNow implementations.
  • Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and support ServiceNow solutions, including workflows, forms, scripts, reports, dashboards, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, UI policies, and script includes.
  • Configure and support ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and CSM applications and processes.
  • Implement Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB data-quality improvements, automated remediation, and service-availability capabilities.
  • Integrate ServiceNow ITOM modules with enterprise systems and maintain accurate data integrations.
  • Configure observability tools to monitor user behavior, system availability, capacity, and performance.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design and code walkthroughs, user acceptance testing, data migration, deployments, incident management, and problem management.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers, present ideas and designs to stakeholders, and mentor less senior team members.
  • Generate and analyze reports, support audits and regulatory inspections, and propose continuous improvements to ITOM processes and configurations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software development experience with strong development skills in ITSM and ITOM.
  • Experience with business process transactions, business process management, process optimization, system administration, and ServiceNow administration.
  • Experience with ServiceNow user management, including groups, users, roles, and ACLs.
  • Experience setting up and managing out-of-the-box applications and configuring ServiceNow workflows and forms.
  • Experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow tables, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, UI policies, script includes, and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management principles and best practices.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical deliveries, along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively through swarming and peer programming.
  • Experience with observability is an asset.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, Six Sigma, or PMP certification is an asset.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen with 10 years of verifiable history on Canadian soil to qualify for the required Canadian government security clearance.
