Responsibilities
- Research, design, implement, test, and document algorithms for technical and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain software applications, systems, and product software architecture.
- Train, tune, and validate machine learning models using clinical datasets.
- Manage algorithm development projects across research, development, design, evaluation, testing, and delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, and Product Management to influence and improve products.
- Identify root causes, prioritize work, and create corrective action plans for timely issue resolution.
- Follow software development standards and deliver scalable, high-quality software.
- Perform duties in compliance with FDA, state, international, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and other applicable requirements.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with statistics, signal processing, numerical optimization, algorithm development, and machine learning.
- Hands-on experience training, tuning, and validating machine learning models using clinical datasets.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Python.
- Proficiency with software product design and development using object-oriented languages.
- Experience with full-stack development, including .NET back end, C# preferred, JavaScript or TypeScript front end, HTML5, and SCSS or CSS.
- Experience programming in C/C++.
- Git source control experience is a plus.
- Medical-device experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
- Strong oral, written, graphical communication, problem-solving, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
