Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications and systems for intraoperative neuromonitoring products.
- Create and maintain product software architecture and documentation.
- Own software development as a technical contributor and manage projects from research and design through evaluation, testing, and delivery.
- Prioritize work, identify root causes, and create corrective action plans for timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers, developers, and Product Management to influence and improve products.
- Perform software development and occasional DevOps functions in compliance with FDA, state, international, and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, applicable laws, regulations, and relevant industry codes.
Requirements
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented software design and development, .NET/C#, Windows or web environments, and full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency with .NET back-end development, C# preferred, and JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5, SCSS, or CSS for front-end development.
- Strong proficiency in dependency injection and inversion of control, plus experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with C/C++ programming, Agile software development methodologies, and TDD.
- Git experience is a plus.
- Experience with LitElement or Web Components, SignalR or WebSockets, Webpack, YAML, and PowerShell is a plus.
- Experience with Qt and medical devices in a regulated industry is a plus; familiarity with IEC 62304 is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, oral, written, and graphical communication skills; self-motivation and teamwork.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and meet the listed physical demands.
