Responsibilities
- Build, improve, test, and maintain backend services and product features for the Flow platform.
- Contribute to distributed systems that operate reliably and efficiently across large-scale enterprise environments.
- Own features end-to-end from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional Product Management, UX, Infrastructure, Security, and AI/ML teams.
- Improve observability, testing, performance, scalability, and operational reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, debugging, knowledge sharing, and continuous platform improvement.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally focused on backend development.
- Strong programming fundamentals and hands-on experience with Java.
- Practical backend experience with APIs, databases, asynchronous processing, and common backend architecture patterns.
- Experience with testing, version control, CI/CD, debugging, and clean, maintainable code.
- Ability to investigate technical problems, work independently, and collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional partners.
- Interest in customer problems, generative AI, intelligent agents, and automation technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS or another public cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, distributed systems, scalable or high-throughput applications, enterprise software, and projects involving generative AI, LLMs, or AI agents.
