Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain production-grade applications, services, and APIs for the trading platform.
Build shared platforms and reusable capabilities for trading desks and engineering teams.
Develop web applications and operational tools that improve trading workflow visibility, control, and efficiency.
Design scalable distributed and event-driven systems integrating with trading platforms, market data services, and internal infrastructure.
Build deployment tooling, release automation, self-service capabilities, and automated workflows.
Partner with traders, quantitative researchers, operations teams, infrastructure engineers, cloud engineers, and DevOps engineers.
Design reliable, observable, resilient, and latency-sensitive systems with monitoring, alerting, recovery, and failure handling.
Contribute to technical designs and architecture decisions and own software from implementation through production support and continuous improvement.

At least five years of experience developing and supporting production-grade software.
Strong programming and software engineering skills in one or more of Python, Java, Go, Node.js, or C++.
Experience designing maintainable, testable, and scalable applications and services.
Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and engineering fundamentals.
Experience with RESTful APIs, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures.
Working knowledge of Linux environments and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Experience with containerisation, orchestration, delivery technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with public cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
Understanding of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience designing for reliability, observability, performance, and failure recovery.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Advantageous experience with Apache Airflow or comparable workflow orchestration, React, Vue, Angular, deployment automation, developer platforms, operational tooling, market data, order management systems, execution management systems, electronic trading platforms, or other complex time-sensitive production environments.

Work alongside traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers on software directly supporting global trading activities.
Gain exposure to cloud-native services, distributed systems, trading applications, deployment platforms, and operational tooling.
Receive autonomy to shape solutions, contribute to architectural direction, and see software used across the firm.
Role location is Hong Kong or Sydney.
