Responsibilities
- Build and operate large-scale distributed systems powering AI-ready web search.
- Develop APIs, data pipelines, and microservices for indexing, retrieval, and monitoring.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and resource usage across the technology stack.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system design.
- Collaborate with ML and product teams to deliver data-driven features.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Work closely with the CTO, founders, and engineering team on new products.
Requirements
- At least three years of backend development experience.
- Understanding of distributed systems, caching, and data storage internals.
- Care about performance, reliability, and code quality.
- Experience debugging production issues and optimizing performance bottlenecks.
- Curiosity about AI infrastructure and retrieval systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
- Interest in Linkup’s mission to build search for AI agents.
