Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for network and observability platforms.
- Define strategies for functional, integration, performance, scalability, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements, design test cases, and identify risks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster delivery.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Mentor and guide engineers on test automation and observability testing practices.
- Drive quality initiatives involving test coverage metrics, automation metrics, and reporting.
- Use logs, metrics, and traces to validate network behaviors and platform reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in networking and load testing.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Pytest, Robot Framework, or JUnit.
- Experience with TCP/IP, BGP, SNMP, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Experience integrating tests with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD systems.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence quality practices across teams.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
- Preferred: knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices testing.
- Preferred: familiarity with network performance testing, monitoring, test data management, and network-traffic simulation.
