Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own full-stack reliability and analytics applications from React interfaces through backend services and data layers.
- Build real-time dashboards, self-service analytics portals, APIs, ingestion pipelines, metric aggregation engines, and anomaly detection systems.
- Develop LLM-powered agent workflows for incident triage, root-cause analysis, predictive alerting, and operational tooling.
- Build RAG pipelines and MCP servers integrating LLMs with runbooks, incident histories, monitoring tools, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.
- Define semantic and data layers for metrics, logs, traces, incidents, and change records, with query latency, freshness, throughput, and availability standards.
- Implement observability, explainability, audit trails, governance metadata, predictive analytics, and automated reporting.
- Partner with SRE, platform engineering, product, and data science teams to deliver reliable APIs and dashboards.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, address technical debt, and improve engineering excellence metrics.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications and data pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and develop generative AI, prompt-engineering, RAG, and MCP solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with depth in full-stack development, platform engineering, data infrastructure, observability systems, or reliability tooling.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant computing or software field and 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with React and backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, FastAPI, Flask, Java, Spring Boot, or Go.
- Hands-on experience designing and shipping production LLM systems involving agent orchestration, tool use, RAG, multi-step reasoning, MCP integrations, or structured outputs.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, using data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake, and delivering real-time and batch reporting.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and Python, with familiarity with AI/ML and data engineering ecosystems.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous execution, fault tolerance, and observability.
- Production experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, or equivalent monitoring and observability tools, plus SRE concepts such as SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
- Experience designing plugin or extension systems with stable versioned contracts and operating multi-tenant analytics systems with strict data isolation and access controls.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree and 2 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong communication skills for translating complex operational data into actionable insights for engineers, SREs, and leadership.
