Base Salary
$100k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, scale, deploy, optimize, and support batch and streaming finance data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop analytical data products using data warehousing principles, data modeling, data mapping, and cloud-native technologies.
- Maintain and enhance infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Implement data governance, data protection, data sharing, data quality monitoring, standards, and data lineage documentation.
- Write clean, reliable, maintainable code using test-driven development and address code quality and security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor production pipelines, troubleshoot issues, meet service-level agreements, and optimize performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with analytics stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional engineers to improve data acquisition, processing, and presentation workflows.
- Contribute to technical direction, continuous improvement, and finance data domain expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology, or a technology-related field.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience building and deploying data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines.
- At least 3 years of experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies and DevOps capability enhancement.
- Strong experience with GCP data engineering services, data warehousing, data modeling, data governance, data lineage, and data quality monitoring.
- Proficiency with Terraform, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, code reviews, and test-driven development.
- Experience with security and code-quality scanning tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fossa, and/or Cycode.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional and business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Python, SQL, Spark, Docker, Tekton, APIs, cloud-native applications, and finance or accounting data.
