Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
- Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures in distributed computing environments.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Build and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, resilient, and cost-effective distributed systems.
- Use and contribute to GenAI and AI-powered tools that improve development productivity.
- Write clean, maintainable code using software engineering best practices and design patterns.
- Participate in agile development, CI/CD practices, on-call responsibilities, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
- Design, develop, and test software components that interact with robotics, material-handling equipment, computer vision, and cloud services.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Applicants must have at least one academic quarter, semester, or trimester remaining after the internship concludes.
- Preferred qualifications include prior technical internships or demonstrated project experience.
- Preferred experience includes cloud platforms, preferably AWS; SQL and NoSQL database systems; AI development tools; open-source contributions; and version control systems.
- Preferred background includes Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization, Manipulation, Perception, Motion Planning and Controls, Movement, Autonomous Navigation, Path Planning, or related areas.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly are preferred.
Benefits
- Full-time internship or co-op placement, generally Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
