Responsibilities
- Analyze complex, real-time autonomous-system use cases.
- Understand research-project objectives and support project execution.
- Analyze laboratory and field-test results.
- Support the use of multiple sensors and software algorithms to control complex, safety-critical systems.
- Assist in developing machine learning, deep learning, large language model, and agentic workflow solutions for internal productivity.
- Work productively and collaboratively as part of the Research and Technology team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with at least two academic years completed or a master’s degree in computer science, electronics, electrical, mechatronics, computer engineering, or a closely related field.
- Have software development experience in C++ and Python.
- Know NumPy, pandas, and scikit Python libraries.
- Have practical experience with object-oriented techniques, concurrency, parallelism, multithreading, and socket programming in a Linux environment.
- Have experience with modern software engineering practices and tools and be an experienced Git user.
- Know databases, especially PostgreSQL, and Docker/containerization.
- Be familiar with Python versions, virtual environments, and the Linux command line.
- Have strong written and oral communication skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s or PhD, CUDA or similar GPU acceleration frameworks, sensor fusion, machine learning algorithms, computer vision, electronic sensors, microcontroller programming, LANs, networked and serial communications, LLMs, agentic AI tools, MCP, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, context engineering, specification-driven development, automated test generation, and legacy code modernization.
- Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from January 2026 through August 2026.
