Responsibilities
- Own Money systems and services governing usage across all Databricks products and offerings.
- Build resource admission control and usage governance infrastructure supporting abuse prevention, commercialisation, and product availability.
- Improve engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and response times.
- Develop CI/CD processes, test frameworks, data quality assurance, end-to-end reconciliation, and anomaly detection capabilities.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to build scalable infrastructure and develop long-term product vision and requirements.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 12+ years of production-level experience with Java, Scala, C++, or a similar programming language.
- Proven experience architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with software security and systems handling sensitive data.
- Demonstrated leadership across functional and organizational boundaries.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision through incremental deliverables.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
