Responsibilities
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management for AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and own internal developer tooling and automation.
- Support container- and Kubernetes-first feature designs as the cloud subject-matter expert.
- Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for safe, compliant, and continuous software delivery.
- Develop and enhance internal developer and production platforms for high availability and stability.
- Identify development bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve developer experience and productivity.
- Create onboarding programs and training resources for developers.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional emergency support outside normal hours.
- Extend observability systems to identify and resolve performance and usability issues.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional technical experience in software engineering, AWS cloud operations, or a related function.
- At least three years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Experience implementing and maintaining Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI, Argo CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience creating internal developer-productivity tooling and automated development environments.
- Experience provisioning and managing public-cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Experience with Linux container technologies and automated image administration, building, and deployment.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes operations, including service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, and load balancing.
- Proficiency in at least one of Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Bash.
- Experience using Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Kafka experience in an MSK environment and Elasticsearch experience are pluses.
- Experience with generative and agentic AI for infrastructure management is a plus, along with demonstrated use of AI tools to improve workflows or decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
