Responsibilities
- Design, code, and test the backend of CockroachDB.
- Complete a project related to your focus area shared with the Engineering organization.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers across cloud and database teams.
- Participate in a collaborative culture and exchange knowledge.
- Ensure CockroachDB remains scalable, survivable, and consistent.
- Meet regularly with your Mentor and Manager for feedback.
Requirements
- Pursuing studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field graduating in 2027.
- Exposure to coursework on distributed systems, concurrency control, data replication, file systems, or SQL processing.
- Comfortable using programming languages like Go, C/C++, Java, and Python.
- Enjoy building relationships and participating in code reviews.
- Experience working on production-level code.
- Genuine interest in Cockroach Labs's mission and CockroachDB.
