Sr. SQA Automation Engineer- Contractor

- Represent SQA in project discussions and collaborate with software, IT, marketing, project management, and engineering teams.
- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and create test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Perform manual testing across application functionality before automation.
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot scalable automated test frameworks and suites for web, API, and backend systems.
- Test integrations involving mobile applications, web applications, REST APIs, and other applications.
- Create and execute automated test suites, diagnose defects, manage bugs through their lifecycle, and verify fixes.
- Develop continuous-integration test suites to provide feedback during the development cycle.
- Perform performance, load, stress, security, and penetration testing and analyze related results.
- Reproduce, debug, and isolate application problems and support system quality before customer releases.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior test personnel, including mentoring and source-code reviews.
- Analyze test logs, document processes, coordinate with stakeholders, and report quality results.
- Identify automation gaps and propose improvements to testing processes and tools.
- Estimate testing work and communicate technical challenges involving networks, systems integration, and client-based applications.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree or equivalent.
- 7+ years of industry experience in QA or a related field, with a significant portion in software development functions.
- Experience creating, implementing, and managing an SQA process in a high-pressure, client-facing environment.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, the full SDLC, build management, software configuration management, change management, and release management.
- Extensive experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Behavior-Driven Development.
- Experience with Python and Behave, or Java and Selenium, or another programming language.
- Experience with JMeter, BrowserStack, LambdaTest, or similar tools is preferred.
- Experience with microservices and Postman or Insomnia.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting performance and stability issues.
- Experience with Agile development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery using Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, cross-functional collaboration, and multitasking skills.
- ISTQB certification is preferred.
