Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain UI- and API-based test automation frameworks.
- Build automated tests for new and existing Onshape product features.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain automated testing workflows.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and improve system reliability.
- Improve automation coverage, stability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with development teams to promote quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Partner with the manual QA team to strategize test coverage.
- Define and refine automation architecture, tooling, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the QA team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing automated test solutions for complex web or cloud-based applications.
- Strong experience developing UI- and API-based automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript; Java is preferred and JavaScript/TypeScript experience is required.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, automated testing pipelines, and modern software development practices.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated debugging and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and globally distributed teams.
- Preferred experience testing CAD applications or OpenGL-based graphics systems.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native or SaaS environments, containerized applications, modern development tooling, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing engineering best practices.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Preferred experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to improve test automation and software quality.
