Responsibilities
- Build and operate multi-step agents that detect service regressions, bisect problematic commits, propose fixes, and generate or review code.
- Develop internal skills, harnesses, and services that improve engineering productivity.
- Process real-time telemetry and events at streaming scale under device CPU and memory constraints.
- Address agent problems involving physical feedback, device fleets, and hardware-connected signals.
- Own features end-to-end from the Roku OS platform layer through application and UI components to cloud integration.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver platform UI and content-discovery experiences.
Requirements
- Have up to 3/4 years of professional engineering experience since completing studies.
- Demonstrate strong systems or infrastructure fundamentals in areas such as real-time data, telemetry, distributed systems, platforms, or device work.
- Have built and shipped a multi-step agentic system that other people use, either professionally or as a serious personal project.
- Be able to explain how you maintain accountability for AI-generated or otherwise untyped code through design, review, and quality gates.
- Have a perspective on current limitations of agent systems and why they remain insufficient in some cases.
- Already have the right to work in the United States.
