Responsibilities
- Lead PostgreSQL development, SQL coding, query optimization, and data conversion initiatives.
- Design, maintain, and optimize database structures for scalability, performance, and data integrity.
- Support PostgreSQL and MSSQL Server environments across AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Partner with software engineering teams on ETL processes, data warehousing, and database-driven applications.
- Troubleshoot database performance, data quality, and application-related issues.
- Define database design, deployment, and ongoing support best practices with development teams.
- Support cloud-hosted database environments serving US Government and commercial customers.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, DBA Engineer, or in a similar database-focused role.
- At least 7 years of experience with relational database architecture, logical and physical database design, and performance optimization.
- At least 7 years of experience developing and supporting PostgreSQL, MSSQL Server, or other enterprise database platforms.
- At least 7 years of experience writing and optimizing SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects.
- At least 7 years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and database services.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with an active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Preferred experience includes ETL, data warehousing, data migration or conversion, data modeling, DevOps, automation, CloudOps, Datadog, PagerDuty, database security, backup and recovery, and high availability solutions.
