Base Salary
$155k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions for a rates derivatives and electronic trading platform.
- Own assignments from requirements gathering through rollout.
- Implement business logic, new services, maintenance fixes, QA automation, and framework development.
- Drive software design and architecture excellence and promote development best practices.
- Partner with business leaders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
- Define strategies to optimize software development processes and workflows.
- Provide strategic direction and long-term objectives for the software engineering function.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong Core Java development experience; JDK 21+ is beneficial.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and a mixture of new and legacy systems.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor within a team.
- Fixed-income domain knowledge.
- Swaps experience is preferred.
- Previous eTrading experience with B2C exchanges such as Tradeweb or Bloomberg is desired.
- Previous algorithm development experience is desired but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and work with technologies such as Python and Scala.
- Exposure to AMP, Claude Code, or similar AI tools is beneficial.
