Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction, architectural oversight, mentorship, code reviews, and career development for an engineering squad.
- Translate strategic business requirements into technical roadmaps with business leaders, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Architect high-throughput, fault-tolerant event streams and data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
- Design and implement low-latency microservices and API gateways using FastAPI, Flask, or Spring Boot with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift using Helm and CI/CD automation.
- Embed automated testing, code quality, security scanning, DevSecOps practices, and enterprise compliance standards across the engineering lifecycle.
- Drive adoption of developer productivity tools including GitHub Copilot and Devin.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive software engineering and application development experience, including technical lead or senior engineer experience.
- Deep hands-on proficiency in Python and/or Java, with strong relational database design and complex SQL querying skills.
- Experience designing and consuming distributed event-driven systems with Apache Kafka or Apache Flink.
- Experience building and deploying microservices on Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift, with AWS or GCP cloud experience and Helm packaging.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and caching or in-memory stores such as Redis.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and security scanning tools including Checkmarx, Snyk, and Black Duck.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, code-quality, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AI-assisted developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, or equivalent is beneficial.
