Base Salary
$107k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance backend APIs and distributed systems for reliability, security, and scalability.
- Implement and manage deployment pipelines and monitor applications using observability and anomaly-detection techniques.
- Develop automated testing frameworks, including applicable AI-driven testing approaches.
- Lead system design, code reviews, engineering-practice adoption, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production support.
- Optimize database queries and application performance while maintaining high availability and resiliency.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities or third-party AI services into backend applications where applicable.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems analysis and software application programming.
- Hands-on experience with Java programming, backend development, and DevOps tools and technologies.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.

- Annual base salary range of $107,120.00–$160,680.00, excluding additional incentive and retention awards.
