Responsibilities
- Work within a 4–6 person engineering team to translate business requirements into user stories and deliver them iteratively.
- Own end-to-end product delivery and provide ongoing product support and operational readiness for delivered services.
- Design solutions aligned with technology guidelines and constraints.
- Identify and address technical debt while balancing debt reduction with new functionality delivery.
- Contribute to accessible, standards-based web delivery focused on customer outcomes.
- Pair with engineers to improve quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in at least one programming language.
- Experience or strong capability in Java and/or JavaScript for client and server development.
- Working knowledge of Unix and comfort operating in command-line environments.
- Understanding of databases from a consumer perspective and how applications interact with data stores.
- Knowledge of HTTP APIs, including RESTful API concepts and usage patterns.
- Ability to work effectively in a DevOps and Agile delivery model with iterative production delivery.
- Strong English communication skills for daily team collaboration.
